Additional Infertility Treatments

In addition to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), the Institute for Human Reproduction (IHR) provides other infertility treatments to meet the unique needs of our patients and to provide alternative procedures that accommodate existing medical conditions they may have.

Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (G.I.F.T.) is an alternative for couples with unexplained infertility provided that the mother has at least one open fallopian tube.

Zygot Intrafallopian Transfer (Z.I.F.T.) is another option in cases that involve the transfer of one or more zygotes (fertilized eggs) or embryos directly into the mother's fallopian tubes during laparoscopy.

In Vitro Maturation (IVM) allows the benefits of IVF to women who may not be able to tolerate the ovarian stimulation procedures required in IVF.

We offer two methods of Gender Selection, including sperm gender selection and Microsort gender selection.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a treatment for male infertility that is capable of achieving fertilization even when only a few sperm are available.

Assisted zona hatching (AZH) is a procedure performed on embryos prior to transfer to the uterus on Day 3 of embryo development to increase the chance of embryo implantation and pregnancy.

Blastocyst Stage Transfer involves growing human embryos in the laboratory to a more mature "blastocyst" stage before transferring to the uterus following in vitro fertilization.
